Anyway, since I retired, we moved to Fairfield Alabama. I'm here to tell you that Mogadore, Wingfoot, West Branch, Mosquito all have nice Crappies, but here down south, the Bream are even larger than Ohio Crappies. An average crappie down here is about 1.72 pounds and about 11-13 inches. Now I know why they call Weiss Lake the "Crappie capitol of the world." Logan Martin Lake and Lay Lake where they held the 2007 Bass Classic aren't too shabby for Crappies either. I am hearing great reports about the Browns this year. I know they wil have a great season.
