    Default Membership dilemma

    OK Guys,
We have a small dilemma. To save money I listed all the events as club events. Which means you need to be a member. The reason is as club events we can have 10 for $25, If they are opens they will cost $25 each.
So here is how I am going to do these tournaments. A team will be allowed to fish 1 event as non members, after that you will have to become members.
I am not sure what the MWCD will say but I am not going to turn anyone away, especially a man standing there with his young son who is fired up to fish.
If anyone has any better ideas please p.m. me. all they tournament directors are going this direction. I know many anglers think we do this to make money but believe me there is no money made. Setting up these events are time consuming and hard work getting sponsors. Just ask my wife how much time and my own money goes into these things.

I am not sure what to do Tim. Letting people fish one tourney as non members is fair.

I dont know if the 9.9 lakes hurt or help us. Maybe this year we should see how we do for turn out at Seneca and Tappan. You know Salt Fork has been good. If the bigger lakes draw more boats maybe we should look at having 2 tournies at Salt Fork, Tappan and Seneca then supplement with Atwood, Leesville and Piedmont. Just an idea....

If you have a flier on your computer email it to me and I will print them and pass around.

Other than going door to door not sure what else to do :D

Oh and from what I have seen there is no way you are making any money at this.

    Hey Jon
The second event is at Seneca and we also have one at Tappan. I will email you a flyer tomorrow when I get to the shop. I will also have some with me at Atwood.
