Default Eastern Buckeye Crappie Club

Hello Fellow Slab-Seekers
First off I would like to thank Ed for this forum. Second Let me, Tim Rickey,
alias Bttmline to welcome you folks to this forum. This is a new club that will be focusing on the Muskingum Watershed Conservicy District lakes as well as some of the local State of Ohio Lakes such as Saltfork.
I already have a tenative tournament schedule started and will post it when it is complete. I do plan on tournaments on Piedmont, Clendening, Leesville for starters and plan on starting a membership drive in the very near future.
So again, Welcome and I hope to have some great times with all you Ohio
Crappie fisherman in the near future.
Tim Rickey

Its great to see more tournaments closer to home in the works...Try getting a hold of Russ Bailey, who runs the Buckeye Crappie Challenge Series. They have a tourney down at Salt Fork in Sept. as part of the BCC Series. He may work with you on getting tournaments lined up coincide with yours, and help in getting more fishermen in your area, as well as getting your guys into his. Good Luck!

Tim, Last year at Buckeye Lake Crappie USA had a Saturday Tournament and Buckeye Crappie Challenge had theirs on Sunday. A few teams decided to fish both. This may help get you a few new members. -FishHunter

Well I got to talk to Russ and He is a wealth of information. I now have a 1st meeting schedule as well as a tournament schedule including 6 lakes. I would really like to get a couple in the fall and maybe a championship. I really hope some of you can attend. Thanks for the encouragement and I promise to do my best in promoting this club and tournament trail. I hope some of you also become members of this club. We will only be as strong as our membership. Thanks guys
Tim

Thumbs up

Hi guys!
Thanks for the invitation Tim.
Its been a l-o-n-g time since I've visited this site.

Hi chaunc!

The selection of lakes that all have very small horsepower limits kills it for my being able to participate. I have a 70hp. and have not managed to squeeze together the nickels to buy a kicker motor.
If you have some events on West Branch, Salt Fork, Portage Lakes, or Tappan let me know; I'd be interested.

- Jim
