    Default I LIKE BUGS

So I'm thinking this afternoon I'm going to start on the molds for these Guys...I like the bugs but not the colors so much
These things (on the right) are only about an inch the others at like 1 3/8"

    Those can be a challenge,
from experience don't forget to score lightly one cavity especially by the legs for venting seems this is the most critical for the legs to turn out

The legs on the Ant looking guys gave me fits... So I left enough room on the mold, to cut my own legs

I don't see as many air pockets,
must have that consistency close to where you want it

So my 1st instinct or worry was that the plaster couldn't hold the fine details was prolly correct
But I'm not giving up yet!
Going to shoot today and figure out how to fix

Don't forget to do some scoring on one of the mold halves as is doesn't need much but should help with venting

They are scored and the 1st shoot was super encouraging, since they haven't been sealed yet and just fish oil in the cavities the legs came close and not much flashing
I'll post up pix in a bit, after the sealer dries and I get another shoot!

Still working out some kinks....But the results are encouraging!
    What do you guys think?
I'm working on the flashing around the Ants legs...On the little guys I'm working on bigger air escape channels to get those tiny little feet to fill more consistently
