Default The start of it all...

BillyGee got me interested in making softies and Guys like Bob, Jackie, Mike and some others on here have fueled the fire
These baits were the inspiration that started it all...Not sure when these full size beetles got discontinued...
Heres my rendition of medium, large, and Monster Beetle Spins...Unfortunately I forgot the Minni's in the Boat (I'll post those later)
Mediums, 2" rigged with fast troll shot line set up ( Covers a lot of water fast)
Full size 3 1/8" (Little big for Crappies) Rigged on my standard Dual spin rig
Monsters... Big bodied 4 5/8" long, Fitted rigs, after first time in the water got a leg bit off

    Thanks Slammin Jack!
These molds were pretty easy to make, since I had a medium master to copy and a full size too...The Monsters started out as clay blanks, then went after the mold with the dremel tool for the details.

    Thanks Mike!
I should clarify that the 1st 3 of the Monster Beetles got their legs bit off.. So the spinners and spoon leg of the rig was too long.

The fish will definitely be chewing on those. You are doing awesome work with that Dremmel tool. You might consider taking a small drill bit and putting in the eye socket on some of those. Then you can do like I do sometime and drip hot black into the eye socket before adding the other colors. I did that with some of my aluminum molds. Here is an example.

I know that if I took those Brown and Orange ones to Lake Erie that the Walleye and Browns fan's favorite fish (Smallmouth) would be all over that color. I was one of the original members of the DAWG POUND (At the age of 10) and I still love my Cleveland Browns 62 years later. I can't wait to see what you will do when you start injecting aluminum molds. I am sure you will be modifying those also with your Dremmel tools.

I think these crankbaits will work well in the shadow box. Thank you for posting the photos on this thread http://www.crappie.com/crappie/good-...evin-galliher/

    1) The large crappie
    2) The dissected frog angry pickle
    3) River Garbage
    4) The Brown and Orange crank bait with yellow eyes (I am a Cleveland Browns fan.) LOL
    5) The glow in the dark pickle will be in my lure making man cave
    6) The Aqua and silver crank bait
    and ....
    finallly...
    7) I am digging that little bottom red crawdad.

Was that spinning reel in the picture included in the deal?

Thanks again my friend. I sent you a PM with the address.
