Default Okay guys a got a question

Would like to know what pound test you guys use for fishing and also if you use a clear or color line. I use 4 pound test most the time endless I'm going after bigger fish. But 99% a my crappie fishing is done with 4 pound test. Would also like to know what brand of line that you use. I use stren original it pretty will stay straight I do not have too many problems with it.

snake, i Stren as well. Mostly the original is what I use. I love the high vis gold as well and I love the Stren extra strength. I have found Stren to be the best and toughest line for me. I mostly use 6 pound but have used 4 as well.

my experience with 4 pound test is on believable would you believe that I've landed 10 pound fish without no problem you just have to play them a little longer. 4 pound test in Stren is pretty tough we occasionally use 6 pound but not too often only when I'm fishing for bass I know what you bass fishermen are thinking. That I'm completely out of my mine but I'm not we do you use up for 12 pound for my level wind casting rods were casting crank baits. I like the 6 pound when we are casting big jigs for bass besides I like the battle the fish.

I use 6 lb Mr crappie line and 10 lb Mr crappie camo for pulling cranks. It's a good line. I have used the cajun line and it is also a good line.

I do belileve you landed a 10 pound fish on the 4 pound line. I have landed huge carp and buffalo on 4 pound while crappie fishing. I would guesstimate the biggest being around 50 to 60 pounds. Of course I had to play them for a while and wear them down, but I got some of them in. It is very tough line as long as you do not try to horse them around. The main reason I use 6 is for the most part it does not affect the fish and it makes it where sometimes I can bend my hook instead of breaking it. I am lazy and do not like to re tie.

STREN has my vote. Hate that stuff with the recoil in it.

Trilene XL 6 lb. Would have included BPS Excel line but they changed how it's being made and it's not as good.
