I'm a little early, but wanted to get this out there. For all those in the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana area, the Boars Head Bait and Tackle runs a crappie tournament season every year from March through October. 10 tournaments, then a two day championship. $50 a two man team. Best 7 fish. Big fish pot. Usually get 25-30 boats, especially early in the year. It's a good time on a good crappie lake. Anybody who's interested can get info from Mike at The Boars Head at 513-724-1211. I'm sure someone will post more specific info and schedules when they are ready, usually around Februaryu, but it's something to keep in mind for anyone thinking of getting into fishing some tournaments.

Is this a point series? Or are there payouts for each tournament, aside from the big fish pot?
Sounds like we may have a very busy spring/summer of fishin this year.
fore962, the turnout could have been better. We had 9 or 10 teams show up. The bite wasn't exactly on fire, but there were good fish to be had. Winning weight was 7.60 something. Second was 6.23, third 6.18. All Crappie.com members in the top three! If the sun would have come out, who knows what the weights might have been.
Yes. It's the first one of the 2009 regular season. 7am-3pm. Meet at the Boars Head early enough to allow you to get on the lake by 7:00. Launch at the North Shore/Afton ramp. $50 per two man team. Good time, a chance at pretty good pay out.724-1211 for questions or info.
