Question pvc condo placement

Hello,
I'm new here and have a question for you condo guys. I live in Mo.My brother and i have made quite a few this pvc condos yr. and are starting to place them on a local lake. Its a old corp. (50s) lake that is about 1000acres. When they made this lake they dozed out most all the timber. The lake has a 17 ft flat with a 35 ft deep channel that runs thru it. The only structure out there is some brush piles the state put in and not many at that.It has a good crappie population. My question is when placing the condos out should we put them on the 17 ft. ledge next to the 35 ft channel only or lead some of the condos out onto the flat. And how many should we put in each location? Should we put any out in the middle of the flats? At the present time we are making earnest patties latest condos with the 4 1 5/8s arms with the 45 degree run out and a pole in the middle with quarter buckets screwed to the arms. Also we are making 3 gallon buckets filled with concrete and putting 12 5/8 pvc arm running up and out leaning on the edge of the bucket. The arms are 6 ft long. I saw these posted on this site...I know these are alot of questions.
Thanks for your replys in advance.
Bruce

Not sure about that Corps lake but in many of them you have to have permission to place structures....so if you don't, do so at your own risk.
