Default The way we do it down south with pictures

Follow the steps of small bundles a bamboo, made of 4 to 8 stalks, depending on lenght and size, then a master bundle made of 3 to 5 small bundles. The one in the picture has 2 jugs tied to the top of seperate stalks, usualy the bigest 2. These jugs are the ones with a screw on lid so they hold their air and make sure the bundle always stands upright. the point is to make the bundle float up off the bottom. The whole thing is free to move with the current or boat traffic or anchor ropes, cause its tied to the weight with wire.I don't ever stick anything in wet concrete but wire or bent pipe to give me a tie point. The master bundle is tied together with electrical single conductor THHN stranded wire, and then tied to the weight, ether a filled 8" or 12" cinder block. I showed a picture of a bucket of concrete, this is for a brush pile cut on site, meaning on the bank some where out of sight, usualy a bunch of 12' to as long as a 20' oak trees, as much as my boat will tow. I showed a pick of some blocks being filled. I'm pretty cheap, so I fill the blocks and buckets with all kinds of fill.I can make a $4 bag of concrete worth $12. large gravel, those rocks in the yard that the lawn mower hits, broke bricks, Democrat champain promises, small scraps of iorn, any thing that is heavy and will sink.

I hope this helps cause its the best system I've found yet. I'll keep up the R&D and see what else I can come up with.

Looks great. You don't have any issues with the oak trees? How deep is the water you are sinking the upright pods? Looks like your set for awhile.

After abour 37 of these droped off this spring and early summer............they work! I still try to drop one on every outing. I bet there are people thinking I'm bulding duck blinds or just plain crazy. As it gets hoter, watch out for ticks, they seen to love bamboo thickets. The bundles droped in Jan/Feb have a nice slime/alge layer on them, cause I got to see some leaves on a hook a few weeks ago.

I was stopped beside the road, draging bamboo out of the woods past all kinds of "NO TRESSPASSING" signs and loading it in the truck when a real hot babe stopped and asked me to come to her house and cut some bamboo in her yard. It seemed to have spread from her neighbors yard over into hers. Ya just never know what is up with people as I was expecting to get run off.

From what I've seen EVERYBODY that has bamboo is more than glad for you to cut some, as long as youre not leaving a mess. Beats them having to do it themselves!

Real smart men(some boys) tie it in bundles with wire and then tie to concrete blocks and save their buckets to carry fish they catch.

I just love my buckets, they get a chance to get sunk one day when the handle pulls out or they get a crack. Filled with concrete and sunk is the last phase of the "Life of a Plastic 5gal Bucket".
