I extended my dock and am wanting to put a couple of fish attracting lights on it. From what I've read the high pressure sodium light would be best. I've also been told the amber (yellow) light is better than the clear light.
What would be your recommendation??
Thanks

lalliso11, I have no Idea about the sodium lights, but I would look long and hard at a Green light in or at the water line, possibly the LED ones Green lights work. Good luck
These are kind of pricey. My neighbor has two on his boathouse and in the summer you can watch the crappie come up and eat the minnows and bugs from under them.

You put a COUPLE of HPS or a Metal Halides out there and they gonna think the sun came up (well really not but it's like putting a street light out there from what I been told...Meaning the bulbs in a street light are the same or something like that)...
Saw one advertised on tv that has a weed eater lookin device on the bottom. When the bugs come to the lite, this thing whacks em and they fall in the water still movin. Looked cool to me.
Wake me up early,
Be good to my dogs,
and teach my children to pray.
These are by far the best lights for attracting fish. (biased but true)
