OK, by my calculations, at 9' long and 8" square, that is 5 cubic feet of concrete. An 80lb bag of quickcrete makes approximately 0.6 cubic feet, according to their website.
That means eeach one of those pillars weighs about 675 lb.
HOLY CRAP. If you are looking for somebody to tow 3 of those out in the lake, DO NOT CALL ME!!! And I am also withdrawing my name from helping you load them also.

2011 NWR Bash Yellow Perch Champion
Percidae Papermouth, enjoy the trophy. It will see NC again.
Does the lake freeze hard enough in the winter to set them on the ice then let mother nature do her thing? It would be sweet to have them up here in Northern IL. It wouldn't be any problem at all to get them in location this winter after we get a foot or two of ice.
Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.
Get a concrete saw and cut them into chunks, wrap wire around, and use them as weights to sink brushpiles.

recheck the math![]()
9' (108'') x 8x8 is 6912 cubic ''.
6912 divided by 1728 (12x12x12) cubic ft. is 4 cubic ft.
4 cubic ft divided by .6 is 6.6666667 sacks and multiply that x 80 lbs .
If your numbers are correct it weights only about 533 lbs.
I think you better break up , not risk hurting yourself
Thats only 1500+ pounds of concrete, gotta be a barg that wold mave it into place for ya.
Here is what I would do:
Take them out individually and drop them in a triangular shape about 6 feet apart. Then I would sink structure inbetween them for a massive brush pile/PVC condo type structure. The hard part is getting them to deeper water if you are using a boat that can't carry them. You could make PVC Condos that slip over them so they stay in place and maybe try to tie them in place with the eye bolts somehow.
3 structures set a little ways apart COULD provide a really nice habitat that will attract a lot of species of fish and wold give a massive area that the crappie may be drawn to big time.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
