yea, the normal. no gas motors, no jugging or trotlining, bout it i think. our neighbor has been here for 17 yrs and has told me, and showed me yesterday, of good crappie spots with underwater brush. but, i think the brush he was talkin about is over 5 yrs old and might not be usable anymore. i cant find any deep structure AT ALL so i figured to promote the fish, and help my fishing, i could ad some cover for em. im the only one ive seen fish this certain area for anything. mainly crappie bream, and catfish. theres bass fishermen there fishing the outline of the lake, but no one fishing the deep like i do. i been thinking about it and yes, someone could snag it, but it will be quite a while, and my location cannot possibly get in anybodies way.
If you are only a guest and you have no vested interest in the property, i wouldn't rock the boat or make waves.
To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required
Wait til, Christmas. Offer to help clean up the xmas trees, then as advised, do a night time burial.
Also, I think if you do a little at a time, no one would get the panties in a wad. If you are dropping 50' x 50' crappie condos in a 8 hour project you are likely to get negative feed back. Dropping a lone tree on occasion will sit better with most folks.

mac, Im a surveyor and if what you say is true, that your property lines extend to the center of the lake to a common point (like a sliced up pie), you can sink brush on "your slice" with no problem, imagine if the lake dried up, what was under water would be your backyard, however without knowing the community rules Im not sure Id be sinking brush on somebody elses slice, however, if you own to an elevation or water mark and the lake is "community use" you might want to bring it up at the meeting...........but, if nobody else fishes it, the night time thing might be the route i'd take, sometimes its easier to get forgiveness than permission. Also, i would not sink any thing that is not natural or pollute the water in any way out of respect for the other homeowners, plus its just the right thing to do.
I can only wish to be as good as my dog thinks I am
ive already been to the owners of the 'slices' i want to drop on. they have absolutely no problem with it, but they told me to wait so when the meeting happens, they will bring it up and make sure its ok. one guy told me he does it himself off his dock and he agrees with what i want to do, he just wants to make sure the bamboo i drop isnt close to the waters edge so they wont take root. ill find out in a couple of weeks.
