Default Fishing Light

I got an under water fishing light for fathers Day. Its a NightBlaster Fish-N-Lite, Mod # UW700L.

No instrution came with it and I have never used one before. How deep should you sink it in say 20 fow in standing timber? 10 fow?

Thanks for any and all help.

Harold

i got a hydro glow light and a couple of small green lights from bps. i just sink them a foot below the surface. it will attract the bait fish(you'll see them circling the lite). the crappie will come up to the bait fish. if the bite slows try throwing out a couple of handfulls of cheap fish food, that puts the bait fish in a frenzy and the crappie get to feeding frenzy to. hope this helps.

If you put your lights down deep you'll wind up with a crappie wrapped around one of 'em. I usually put my lights at or just below the bottom of the boat with them layed over the side, not extended away from the boat.

I use mine the same as GABOWMAN. The light up high helps you see the rod tips a little too. I also like to look at the light to see the bait. It will bring bait from all depths like that. I've been in 50ft of water and the graph reading 2 and 4 ft due to all the bait. Now is a good time to go give it a try it's a good way to beat the heat but not the bugs.Good luck with it hope you catch a mess.
