Default Making spawning beds for a pond

Anyone ever try it? I have some shallow crates and thinking about putting some small rocks in them and sinking. My pond donít have a hard bottom so just a thought.

Wood or gravel work cause they can't spawn successfully on mud and silt .

I just wonder if a old piece of carpet would work as I seen a minnow farm on you tube had some type of carpet mats that they used for minnow spawning. Sometimes people take out old carpet in there house and that would be a good reuse for it. What do you all think?

Would probably work to raise fry, wouldn't want to fish it!

I think they use matts of moss of some type . Some minnows like PVC or wood . Pallets or gravel work good for some fish . Catfish like pipes , hollow logs or wooden boxes
