Lisa's BBQ Beans
I always fix these when having a fish fry and thought I would share:
Brown in frying pan:
1 pound hamburger
1 green pepper chopped
1 onion chopped
Drain and place into a casserole dish.
Add:
1/2 cup "Heinz" chili sauce (the secret ingredient)
1/4 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
2 Tablespoons brown Sugar
2 cans pork and beans (the small size - no need to use expensive brand)
Bake at 350 degrees for around 45 minutes. Great reheated.
(Husband also likes these over hot dogs)

Sound good to me. Another trick ingredient is to take some Jimmy Dean sausage and fry it down, drain the fat off and mix it with the ground beef. Slid in a stick of real butter along with your normal stuff and prepare yo self for a treat. Creamiest beans I've ever ate. Again, a little different flavor but good beans never the lest.
