Most everyone visiting this site loves fried fish and I suspect most all of you love good fried chicken. We all know grandma made the best but what restaurants in your area make THE BEST fried chicken. I live in the Tallahassee FL area and I really can't bestow that honor on any of our restaurants around here but I lived in Montgomery AL for several years and Martin's restaurant made the best I've ever eaten. They are still doing business so if you're in the area, give em a try.
What about where you live? I may want to give your favorite place a try if I'm ever in the area.

When I think of good fried chicken I think of Eischen's Bar in Okarche. Great place to take a group of friends for beer and chicken in central oklahoma. Quite a few people load up and drive a couple hours just for the chicken.

The one in Jackson closed, but they opened one in Dyersburg. I've been to the one in Mason a few times. You're right, it's good stuff.
Believe it or not, our Ingles serves plates for lunch daily. That place employees some of the older black ladies that really know how to fry chicken too. Nobody will tell ya, but if you've ever eaten anything cooked in homemade hog lard then you'll recognize the taste in their chicken. It's about as good of chicken as you'll find here in Elberton if youre around come lunch time when it fresh cooked. The veggies are great too. Only problem is they dont cook bisquits.....only get rolls from a package. Oh well.....they fill your plate up so much they cannot hardly close the lid so it's still worth $5 a plate anytime!
Im from NC, but the best I ever had was Bee's they have family style dining, lazy susan tables....in Chatanooga TN.
I used to love that place back in the early 70's when I was a kid following my Daddys traveling softball team around. I could not wait for them to get a break during the Pick of Dixie tournament every year. I knew we were heading there to get some chicken and peach cobbler. Anyone know if their still in business? Dang I'm hungry.
