Had a number of folks ask me for this recipe at crappie camp. Instead of writing it out for all of them I told them I would just post it here.

Cornbread Salad

3 packages of Martha White mexican cornbread mix

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped green bell pepper

1 pound bacon

2 cans kidney beans drained

1 can of corn drained.

1 huge bottle of Ranch dressing

Bake the cornbread according to directions while you are frying up the bacon. Let those two cool then crumble both into a large mixing bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and refriderate overnight.

I have yet to bring any of this home from any potluck I have ever attended. So next time you need to take a dish that can feed the masses dont get stuck making the baked beans and try some cornbread salad.

Just got done making this and WOW is this GOOD!!!!!!!!
Had to move it to the top again.

We have a lady at church that makes CB salad,but I have never seen it with the kidney beans.I'll have to give it a try Thanks
