    Default Deer Puppies

If you like hush puppies and deer(venison) Here is a new twist to making them. The wife boiled a deer shoulder today pull the meat off the bone and shredded it. Made her best hush puppy recipe and added the meat before frying them up. They are some kind of good. They can be served as a main dish or as a finger food. Would be great for a super bowl treat. They can be put in the freezer and microwaved later as a quick snack also.

She said she used some seasoning salt and a little garlic powder and boiled the meat till it was tender. Then pulled from bone and shredded the meat. My late Uncle over in Toxey, Alabama made them years ago and told us about how he make them. I am here to tell you they were good I said "were" because I eat them all.
