    Default 5 step instant potato flake crappie

    1 dredge fillets in flour
    2 same in egg wash
    3 same in instant potato flakes
    4 make the oil stinky
    5 eat

    ah man,now i gotta go thaw out some filets :D
    never tried the tater flakes,but that just looks to good,so off to the pantry.

    I never used the tater flakes but... I have used the real potato grated finely used just the same way and it is gooooddddd!

    tried it and like it thanks for the recipe will add some seasoning such as salt and pepper the next time but it was still good

    We tried the tater flakes the other day and wife and I have a new favorite!

    I am cooking up some sesame pheasant for a pot luck tomorrow, but now it looks like I am going to take out some fillets and try some tater flake slabs also. Thanks, that looks great.

    One of the guys here on the VA forum says he uses Onion & Chive flavored flakes. I did not know there was such an animal but will be trying it. We have always added our seasoning to the flour-garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, whatever you like. Have also added a splash of liquid smoke and beat it in the egg wash.
