Default Better than fries with fried Crappie

Try this next time you fry fish instead of fries, take some yellow squach and cut them in thin rings and batter them in the same batter that you used on fish and fry them in same oil that you fried fish in. You talk about good!!!!!!!!!!

My better half uses mashed up yellow squach in her hushpuppies and they are good also.

I like to take green squash and cut them in "sticks" and fry those before or ater the fish/fries and you will enjoy those too...Almost like fried okra.

Yall need to stop...dang it, I'm getting unbelievably hungry and it's only 9:14am!!!

Some great ideas for sides and I've done the squash fry before, but have to try the okra now.

WE take an onion and cut it into peddles. Then put on batter. Then dip in one egg and 2 cups of butter milk. Then back in the batter.
Deep fry them. Just like a blooming onion.but easy to fix, And so good.

are you referring to zucchini sac?
we split zucchinic into 'sticks' and dip in whatever batter/coating we are using, reminds me of "fried green tomatoes " we can't hardly wait for them to get on the vine, I think we eat as many green maters as ripe ones
