Putting up some sweet corn and wondered if anybody puts sugar in the freezer bag. Heard tell of this, and wondered how much to put in.

When I put corn up in the freezer, I take 40 ears and cut the corn off the cob. Put in a roasting pan and add 3 sticks of butter and a pint of half & half. Bake it at 350 for one hour, stiring it every 15 minutes. Then take out of oven and cool, then place in a zip lock bag and freeze. When I take it out to use, I add a little milk to the pan when heating it up, it taste just like you went out and pick it.
I've never heard of putting anything in the freezer bag. I just boil the ears for about 6 minutes, put in cold water to stop the cooking, dry and then freeze.
thanks for all the replies...wife said I was nuts for trying to do that...I am about "corned" out. Will put up 10 more quarts today and call it quits.
