Limerick for Crappie.com

I once had a holder driftmaster
I used it to crappie catch faster
It hung bamboo I guess
Made a mellova hess.
Now I have a driftmaster disaster.

An ode to my friends
on the Arkansas board
I'll mention a few
and should mention more.

Creekslick on Greers
you'll find no one better
He'll catch you a limit
In any kind of weather

I know a fellow
That fishes Lake X
Russ will give you a tip
If you'll give some respect

CMJ posts great pics
and his threads are great reads
He's a friend to all
Even to a man called Habib

Midsouth Man
Our resident Pro
Always seems to find
Where the bigger ones grow

Blackfish we know
Can catch a winner
He'll tell you his secret
Use a 2 pound minner

If you're needing a rig
your boat no more swims
Get on the phone
and call BRM

And Jerry down south
Ties a great jig
Put some Meatgetters in your box
If you wanna catch pigs

Nimrod my friend
with a pole in his hand
Jigging crappie right and left
The best in the land

Our AGFC biologist
Mojorig and D10
are making our fishing
the best it's ever been.

Arkcrappie Likes fishing
but he likes hunting too
Hopes to shoot Bambi
before the fall bite is through

New on the board
is my friend Gzrglide
You'll see him in the swamps
His throttle open wide

Mike and Casie with whom
I like to do some gabbing
Gimme a call while you'er here
We'll go 8 inch slabbing

BillyE on the board
his fishing is not inferior
He shares his good luck
With the folks from Superior

Hawgdawgs boat
is my favorite rig
He's the best around
Dock shooting a jig

The person that holds us
Together like glue
Ski Trip he's known
Can catch a fish too

Bowhunter and kids
Look like they have fun
Both fishing and hunting
they get it done

Luvpt and blue thunder
Can fill up a cooler
In south Arkansas
They are the ruler

And Handi strikes fear
in the Mississippi bunch
When he heads south
There'll be crappie for lunch

Gindog my friend
Has been called Crappie Bob
At catching a crappie
he does a fine job.

And what about Don
He's called Dr Pepper
He cooks, strums, and sings
Making our camps better

And ole Laser Beam
Gave me my favorite shirt
Post up my friend
before we send out a search

And Harold over there
often unheeded
pitches in at the camps
Wherever needed

Bunches of great people
I can think of a few
Like Scrapper and Rookie
and Cache22

All join together
On our piece of the net
To make the Arkansas forum
The best forum I bet

I’ve been a member of crappie.com.
Since 2009, I couldn’t go wrong.
I’ve fished all my life from just a wee tot,
now the fever’s in me always so hot.
I learned from dad who took me fishin,
he got me hooked it was no imposition.
As years have passed I improved his ways,
the float was replaced what would he say.
I fished for green carp for way to long
my elbow hurt this had to be wrong.
When I got into crappie,
it made me so happy.
Trolling was easy, I’m never sore.
I could do this forever it’s no chore.
I’ve fished in the rain I couldn’t be wetter.
I need a new way I had to get better.
I saw the boats using Spider Rigging.
What a way to replace this pitching and jigging.
I wrote up a thread knowing this was best
what rigs were better, who passed the test.
I had my answer it came from here.
I knew what to buy without any fear
I purchased 4 sets and rigged my Driftmasters.
Now I’m catching more fish so much faster.
I’ve come aboard to learn long lining
all these new rods my wife’s still whining.
My brother laughed, too many rods this just can’t be.
He’s from Pa. they can use three
I’ve got a good friend with Parkinson’s.
We troll for hours; it’s a great day to have fun.
I came up with the name of Feel-N-Crappie.
On a site which has made me very happy.

Oh hey, Oh hey,
Crappie.com is having a Driftmaster giveaway.
They want a poem,
But I think I must show’em.
That I’m a very bad poet,
And soon they shall know it.
We all come to this site,
Some most every night.
We’re mostly the same,
To which we have no shame.
Whether you’re trolling a crank,
Or casting from the bank.
There’s much here to learn,
If catching large slabs is your concern.
No matter your technique,
As we are all unique.
You may bounce a jig,
Or seat behind your spider rig.
If you’re new to the sport,
Or your time on earth is short.
There’s someone here that can help,
Or explain why all you are catching is kelp.
If your fishing stories are all lies,
Your just one of the guys.
Come meet some new friends,
Where the fishing never ends.
