OK, TENN ANGLERS .... calm down !! You are NOT excluded from this contest. The reference was made to "other tournaments" of this nature, which required an entry fee.

    Great news then!
I think we all want in as much as everybody else does.
But I just was curious what was reasoning behind the other tournaments excluding TN is all ( if known).

    I second that Idea.

Not really sure, JL ... I was just semi-quoting what Ed had posted, earlier in the thread. I think it had to do with paying a fee, or some such .... ??? I just don't know. Ed's going to use sponsors products, that he receives, to compile a prize package (see other thread in this forum, about prize pkg).

Just suffice it to say that all "members" are eligible to participate ... in accordance with the rules (when they're finalized). How other organizations, or competing websites run their "tournaments" isn't relevant to this site/tournament, other than to provide "what not to do" information ... so as to make this site's tournament fair to all legitimate participants.

#1 - this is FREAKIN' AWESOME idea

Looking for clairification - we are allowed to fish for an allotted time period and then submit our 3 biggest fish on the last day of the Tourny before midnight?

If so - I think this would be a real kill joy of the Tourny. The fun would be watching the leader board. Everyone who is smart will wait till the last day - just incase you catch your 3 biggest fish at 10 pm on the last night.

I feel that a shorter time period (weekend or 7 day period) with fish caught must be posted within 24 hours of catch - last fish in by mid-night of end of tourny would be a better idea.

This would allow on-line viewers to see the "unoffical" leader board with fish pics through the week - with offical tourny results and prizes posted several days after the tourny end.

I can't answer why TN was excluded. I'm only guessing that it's because of an entry fee. I figure if mine is free, I have less restrictions.

I'm not sure about a leader board. I think it'll be best if I post the top so many entries all after the Tournament is over. I received advice, that people would not enter if they seen a leader with a big lead. We could have one strong entrant, and then no-one else would even try. I don't want that. I think waiting till the end, and publishing the top ten entries or so would be a good idea.

Ed, I agree with you. This contest is about, just having a good time, not about professional fishing persons.
