The DR spawn must be winding down, because they were in deep water yesterday. I spent the day
working areas from the deepest water in to the 10' level & found a steady bite. Doubles & triples were rare,
but when the boat was over 11 FOW (+/- 12"), corks went down! They liked minnows on bare hooks and
minnows on jigs, but not a bare jig under a cork. A tiny jig on the fly rod did produce a few, however.

Lake conditions and weather were good. WT ranged from 64 to 70 with at least 24" visibility. Level remains
18" below full pool. Winds stayed below 10 mph most of the day with full sun and temps ranging from 39 to 69.

Out of the day's total of 72, as many as a dozen fish suffered from slashes or gouges.

It would be easy to attribute some of this to TM prop hits, but more likely these are battle scars from spawning. (???)
Up in the shallow water, they're a better target for LMB, pike, gars, and birds.

For the day, there were 23 keepable fish (10"+), including one each at 13", 13.75", and 15".

Wish I could get the time between work and weather to do some of that. Sounds like a good day.

The battle scars look like cormorants attacks.
