  • Ed and the Travel Writers Trip

We left the dock at the crack of 8:00 a.m. with a drizzle and more rain coming on the radar. The Northeast wind had already bumped things up and we headed out to 80 feet of water straight out of Two Rivers.

Jill Gleeson from GoPinkBoots.com (she forgot to bring the Pink Boots out on the boat), Rebecca McCormick a travel writer, Jason Ring from the Manitowoc and Two Rivers Visitors Center and Ed Moes from Crappie.com were all ready for some fishing action.

We angled into the waves and the fish started biting, we reached 200 feet of water and had a coho, some rainbows, and a king. Turning back with the waves the fish action kept going with the Dipseys with orange spoons, the riggers with Twinkies and minnows, and the Pumphandles all catching fish.

Jason got his first big King Salmon and the ladies got to work on a double header along with a number of Rainbow Trout. Ed did get to hold the king he caught and we all had a great day of fishing. The trip only lasted 2 1/2 hours dock to dock so it was some great fast action, before they had to get in and move on to the next travel destination.

Check out as Slab made these posts during the trip: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/salmo...ving-hoot.html

Also consider getting out of that heat up here to the North Woods for a charter trip. Here's Keith's info, give him a holler:

I just uploaded a Youtube Video. It's a good video, the fish jumping, and how it bent the hooks. Check it out.

The world truly is round folks and that King Salmon is not your daddy's Bluegill. Sounds like it was a very windy day and that Ed was excited and tired all at the same time. I could not drink all of that water......would need sea sickness pill too. Oh my gosh what an incredible video. Glad you had fun Slab. Well done. You are gonna eat good soon. salmon steaks.......yum.
