Is the new gig here in Texas . There are some days when we find them in numbers and there are days it just isn't happening . Some days they are nice fish , but as of lately most are not much for size on my visits . The good news is I do get out and chase them around town even without much in the way of a boat and very little time to head out .
Between work and a kindergartener and a wife and the real estate chase there is not much time left to pitch a jig . Hopefully soon things settle out some and I can get back to my 7 days a week program ,but as of now its about 4 or 5 and not long on most visits . The good news this week is an offer I made a few months ago on a really pretty property seems to have come back to the table and might end up being the spot we want to have to hang around on .
Anyway back to crappie chase . This week I hit 4 different lakes and some visits were just 45 minutes and one was even in a john boat for a couple of hours . I bank fished a few times with floats with great results on small ones . I dock fished some with decent results on some ok fish . I didn't do very well in the john boat even with a great report from the day before on a certain location and very specific information .
But we all know in the world of the crappie chase its a Sketchy Ketchy program and where they "WERE" is very often just that within hours of the spot being where an angler wants to be . Will try to get back here more often with some fishee stories when I get more time but as of now its dicey when I might get that time .
stay tuned yawl
p.s. Bob sent me that there green and chart jig a while back and it was ketchn well until something whacked it and broke my line and it was the last of the great ones darnit ....
