    Took the boys and my wife for a quick afternoon trip today since they’’ve been bugging me about going for months and they’’ll be out of luck once turkey season starts this week. Made a trip down to Bayou Barbary for the first time. Only fished about an hour and a half and only had a couple bites. The boys had fun though. We will definitely be going back when the water is right. It was very muddy after the rain today. My wife was able to take some nice pics.

      I'm not too far from there. I'm in Ponchatoula. Would it be hard to get a canoe in there, and is there a fee at the boat launch. I'm curious to try it out and see if it has some good sac a lait spots. Let me know, thanks
