Funky River Report

Well I Finally got in the boat with Cajun Ray. Met at the 4th street launch. Ray had been waiting sip n coffee.

Ray Idled around close to the launch pointing out spots here and there. Ray informed me he was gonna be in school today. Ray put me in the front on the troll motor. Hand held at that.

Swimming the 3tail is what was the assignment. Went straight to were I left em last week and they were still there.Put a few in da box. Shot a dock close by and nothing there. Moved down river and did the 3tail swim on another top. No bites there. Talked to Ray about the gar fish ruining the bite. Ray was quick to hook up on that gar. Pulled line for a few seconds. I got on da troll motor to follow the fish. I sure wanted to get an eye on em. Straighten the hook on Ray.

Next to one of Ray's secret spots. Never saw him on this spot. He told me exactly were to put my jig. Nada. Ray comes up from the back of the boat and bam, bam, bam puts three in on ice.

Hit a few more spots and pick up a feesh here and there. Tried from the heat, wind, and boats we call it a day.

Good day on da water with ya Ray. Looks like I gotta buy some more baits. ; Electric Chicken?
