I know that I stated it was going to be a last "hoo-rah" for the trolling equipment a few weeks back, but.....some thing called me back this week, a visit back home next week, huh, well you see Mom & Sis asked if I was going to bring any fish back with me & with Mother's day around the corner I guess you can figure out my choices to fail are slim to none, so what to do....back to the wishing well that is Lake Harney.....she had me on my heels for a while til I found em' in 4 1/2 FOW contour line & it was ON, the wind blew me off the west side at 9:30 & was thinking well all good things must come to an end, & I'm usually a area & "hot spot" if you will, kinda guy but, heck let's go to the east side & try the 4 1/2 FOW contour were the winds are calmer & wham there they are again & hungry...note to self there just might be something to this contour deal & right barometric pressure, however, that starts to sound to technical so let's just call it a "good day on the water"... Anyways the water temp is already a balmy 81F & if you venture that way be very careful, the entrance is 1 ft deep for about 75 yards of water including the end of the river. Also caught a lot of gar & about 10 shad (bass eating 2"-3" size) brought aboard on the smaller 1/32nd jigs, which tells me all fish are eating good now on the lake. A few pics including why it's so hard to catch a crappie in Florida over 3 lbs...look at the lacerations on the 13" & 14" fish tight lines to all
