• Road Trip

The weather was really nice this weekend. So we decided to make a nice little road trip - our destination was about 3 1/2 hours NE of here at Truman Lake. For those not familiar with the lake it is about 50,000 acres and 3 major rivers running thru it. With standing timber and stumps everywhere- you have to have good mapping or knowledge where the channel is. The fish have come out of their deeper winter time homes and are staging in the mouth of major creeks and starting to transition into the mid parts of creeks. Most of the fish where in 14 - 20 fow and were suspended 8 to 12 ft. deep. We had a blast eating good food and a bonus of catching nice fish.
