Default Gearing up for drifting....

Its about time for this years shad to be big enough to catch with the throw net here in s.e. kansas. Am very anxious to get out and start drifting for channels. Only thing is...most of our lakes are 15 to 20 ft high right now and it will take about 2 weeks for the lakes to get back to normal (if we don't get any more significant rain). Might have to just try it with the lakes up but would rather see them normal and no water being sucked out. Really think the Corp is probably holding back on the discharge rate from these lakes due to the high levels of water on the Mississippi.

Hard to beat drifting for cats in July and August!!
