    Default Indiana Carp Fishing.

Thought I'd share some photos of local Carp anglers.

This is the White River Carp Tournament in Indianapolis with over 100 participants. The picture shows only about 1/3 of the venue. Always a highlight of our fishing year!

My younger son, Jordan, with the first Carp he reeled-in himself at age 5.

Me with a 16lber. from the Indianapolis Canal.

A 20lber. from White River. My best so far.

Jordan and I admire a nice 14lbs. fish caught by my older boy, Adam, at the canal.

Towana Anderson with a monster 30lbs. Grass Carp from White River in Indianapolis.

Jordan with a fish he caught from Brandywine Creek in Greenfield, Indiana.

    Those are big hogs,
But have a question: They are not good for eating, so that being said, fish for the fun of it?

Thats exactly correct...we only catch and release all Carp.

Same with all our friends here who are in Hoosier Carpers.

In the tournaments, you must release the fish in good condition for it to count.

That looks like an incredible venue!

What are the rules of the tourney? What methods are allowed? Can you use multiple rods?

    Do you know Tony Forte?

This should answer your questions about the tournament rules: Indiana Carp Talk -> 2009 Hoosier Carpers Tourn. Trail

Don't know Tony Forte personally, however, a northern Indiana angler who goes by "Matchman" might be him perhaps? The name is somehow familiar to me.
