Thread: 04/29/2016 NorCal Crappie Report

My best friend invited me on a crappie trip which I turned down due to work and this is his tale. He has asked that I not release the name of this lake but let’s just say it is a reservoir one hour north of Sacramento and is a hidden crappie gem for many years. There are not a lot of crappies but there are big crappies.
They camped and night fished from an aluminum boat with a crappie light. Between the two of them, they limited out and it took all night. Glad I did not go because I would have missed my bed.
