Thread: Lake Isabella Update Anyone?

Help

I plan to go to Lake Isabella (Bakersfiedl) in the upcoming week or so. Can anyone give me an update as how the crappie are doing/ what part of the lake to focus on/ what type of bait works best or any other type of helpful information.

heve been up there 3 times in the last 3 weeks. limited out all three times.
1/2 to 1 lb . black & whites. been using light green or yellow stingers 3 to 6 ft deep. fished joghlin cove all three times. fish by the branches sticking up out of the water if you have a boat. if no boat i heard they were catching some by french gulch marina. been getting pretty windy after 11 in the morning. here are a few picts. for ya. good luck & GOD bless.

Good job out there. I'll have to make a little road trip.

Isabella lake starting to turn off now. Pretty green looking right now. Crappie starting to die in the shallows. You would think they would move to deeper water. We caught fish Friday in the middle of the lake. If they drain the lake slow it will clear two weeks, if they drain the lake fast it will four weeks to clear up Mike
