Anyone here fish San Vicente for Crappies? I used to fish there when I was in the Navy. When is the best time to catch Crappies in S. Cal?

The best time for crappie is mar-may. Sometime you get a good fall bite also. Summer they can be out in open water more.

I will be getting there soon myself from overseas. I see the bluegill action is just starting to pick up and will only get better as this month goes on. I hope to catch somoe of those along wot some crappie at San V, el Capitan and lower otay. If you want to see what is niting go to sdfish.com
