Anybody here fish down in the southern california area(San Diego). We have a few good lakes but I would like to here what lakes you like in the area. Also where is Lake Piru?
Like Piru is by Castasic Springs, Ca. If you take the 5 north like your going to Bakersfield you'll pass the exit. The exit is close to where you start hitting the Grapevine.

You have some GREAT lakes down there. My home lake is Perris in Moreno Valley. Perris has nice size florida strain 'gills like Otay. They also have a decent crappie fishery. I also fish some trout lakes near you, Poway and Dixon. Hope to get down to El cap this season.
Lake piru is on the border or los angeles and ventura county as i recall. To get there you take the 5 frwy to 126 frwy west then go probably 15 miles to filmore /santapaula then take the road back north.east to the lake. If you are comming a long way you might just consider going to lake isabella.
