Smile Lake San Antonio

I went on a family church camp out at San Antonio Lake. The crappie fishing wasn't to be found and I was lookin. But the bass fishin was good. My biggest was a five pound small mouth bass. He took a crappie jig. It was sure a challenge on an ultra light rod and reel, four pound test line. I don't fish there but one / twice a year. I saw a lot of good crappie structure, but you need a boat. The lake has a good population of stripers, large mouth and small mouth, That makes life as a panfish a little rough.
