Default Cachuma Lake

Went on as camping / fishing trip with the wife and in-laws. We were camped by the Santa Ynez River, small trout is all that was biting. Took a morning trip to Cachuma Lake about thirteen miles away. Didn't catch any crappie but I did catch several Blue Gill all dinks. Then broke a rod tip. Headed back to camp to repair it. Then just stayed there and went looking for trout in the evening. Fishing was just so so. Time with my wife and her parents was good and restful.

Cachuma should be a good lake to fish in the spring spawn. Lots of structure.
You will need a boat...
