And bare this in mind :

This recall involves two styles of Kidde fire extinguishers: plastic handle fire extinguishers and push-button Pindicator fire extinguishers. ... Date codes for recalled models manufactured from January 2, 2012 through August 15, 2017 are 00212 through 22717
Thanks Jerry_J316 thanked you for this post

I have 4 different Kidde models, I just called and went over the SN & model #'s with a CSR, got 2 new ones, (boat and shed) and returned those defective ones at they expense. Painless process for the most part.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

We had 6 that were affected. They mailed replacements for all of them.

Now, here's how fast I can screw up. Talking about extinguishers, here's what I accidentally did at home depot last weekend; I was in home depot getting a metal marine mount for my kidde boat extinguisher. I needed to verify the metal kidde bracket would work with an extinguisher like mine. I opened a new extinguisher and started lifting it out of the box. Someone had already pulled the pin, go figure. I didn't notice that. I discharged the extinguisher in the electrical aisle. Boof! I didn't realize it was discharging because I had the nozzle pointed behind me. Woops! I found an employee and told them what happened before I left. The air looked something had caught on fire, hazy. Geez....
