    Default Pole holders

Any ideas on mounting the base plates to pole holders on a fiberglass boat I cannot use a bolt and nut because I cannot get to the area under the holder to install the nut.
I do not want to use self tapping screws because I want them real secure any help would be appreciated

Gear tracks may be your best option, the pressure of the rod and fish strike is distributed along a plane rather than a small area.Kayakers use them with very good results.

if you are simply spider rigging, i believe the standard screws will be fine. My front holders have done fine spider rigging. If you are planning on pulling cranks, longlining, etc, then I would advise to go another route. I have a triton tr-20 and the rear racks will be held with bolts and locking nuts to give extra reinforcement due to the pressure applied by trolling motor and fish.
