    I'm surprised that the President did not hold up for you. I have 3 of them in different sizes and they are slicker than snot on a doorknob.

    yeah, I here a lot of people use them, but mine is kinda rough, so far this Shimano is working well, also like using the Power Pro braid with a fluoro leader, we tore up the Smallies this past weekend wade fishing the creeks of Ky

    Get you a Shimano or Daiwa out of Japan....made in Japan....best reels on the planet.

    I currently have the Pfluger President and I think it was worth the price. Can't remember the size though. I would honestly go with a Diawa if you have the money for it, but for $50, the President works just fine.
