    Default February Fish and Eat

It's been way to long since we had a fish and eat, and judging from the board activity folks are thinkin fishin. The problem is CEB and I are just way to busy to properly plan and set up for one right now so here's the deal.

I kicked an idea around with Danno up at Gold Creek and here's what we came up with. For 15.00 for boaters and 10.00 for non boaters he will set us up a place to gather and provide and cook burgers, polish sausage, potato salad, beans along with your minners and launch. In my time crunch it's worth a 50.00 to not have to go to the store to get the crap, not to mention dragging the grill and all the cookwear up to the lake along with the boat and gear. I'm trying to post a poll to get you guys feedback but not having any luck so please chime in and let me know your thoughts on a date and time we can all get together at Gold Creek

Another idea I had that LR Joe also brought to light was the sinking of brushpiles. If we do get a date set I would like for those that can to bring some condo of some type we can sink. Just like last time we all picked up a new condo hole we never had before. I would just love to see a post from some member holding a hawg he caught off a community condo so keep that in mind as well.

Sounds great. I can come just about any day.

I am hoping that CEB and gooch will spy on the Carhart Man between now and then to see what he is using so we can fish his spot. He must have some naked female crappie jig that the males are going nuts over.

Hey Gooch. It's good to see you back on the board lately. Thought for a while you had forgotten your login info. I guess you weren't swept away by a beautiful caribbean queen, so its back to reality....Count me in on the fish-n-eat.
    Gotta love it!

Me and my fishin partner would love to come out and meet some of ya'll if it falls on a weekend that I can get away. She has already been bugging me to get up a trip now that duck season is over.

The 9th or 23rd would be good for me! Thanks for coming up with a good idea that will make it easy on everyone!

Gold Creek? Is that on Conway where I can't get my boat in? If so, I can be a non-boater if I don't have a paying trip that day.

Yeah, it sounds like the same place. I could launch my boat no problem but could not get my center console bay boat under the walking bridge at this one cove where all the house were. If my cuz (grubby) comes I could bring my other boat though and we can fish together. Sounds like great fun if I'm not working. Might give me another change to yell, "FISH ON" (ya'll know that's going to be my trademark, lol).

Sounds like a good time Gooch. Any date ya'll pick will be good with me, except the 9th. I'd be a non boater, don't want to drag mine the 200 mile round trip.
