    Default New Motor Advice

I got a line on a brand new 50 hp Merc, oil injected short shaft motor installed with all new controls for $4 grand. It was a pull off from a pontoon boat that wanted a 70. Is that a good price for a new 50 with a full 2yr warranty? Oh yeah, it has power tilt too.

FF, the average retail on that motor is $4600 for a 2007 motor. That is according to NADA and they are always way low on their estimates.

Something to remember . Theres no such thing as a left over Mercury any more. Mercury sells last years motors as this years motors. So last years will be sold as a 2008.
Wonder what they will do next.

shows a 50 HP MERCURY $3,800 Then controls will sure make it way over the $4000. Does it also come with a Prop? If not get him to throw one in also.
Also I know its a few miles. But jack son Tn GAnder Mountion is clearing out there boats and motors. I know I did see a 50-4-stroke there yesterday. And they had a 25 4-stroke tiller for a little over $2000.

Thanks guys. I had not even thought about a prop. I just assumed one came with it. I also have not asked about trading in my Evinrude 40. Negoation is not one of my strong points.
