faulkner is a private lake. you have to know somebody to get in on it now. I don't know anyone well enough to get on it either.

Was a dirt ramp behind a gas station (BP I think) on 440. Then you can push, pull, drag, your boat in. That was a year or two. I never have been there. Looks good.

Might check with people at that gas station???

It is still there but some one has asphalted it. I pass by there occasionaly on the freeway. Since Randy's reply, I have been trying to see a gate or fence. I think the ramp is still free access. Before the freeze I was seeing a bunch of crap on top of the water though....like a bloom of some sort.

That ramp is actually privately owned. My friend owns the land where the chain link fence starts and he has a ramp there also. The owners of the asphalt ramp use it for duck hunting on the end of the lake. We duck hunt in the swamp west of the interstate. I have heard the fishing is still excellent in the lake but have not personally been.

I had a pretty fair lunch of chicken and dumplings today at the old Chism Trail. I think it is called Mom's or something like that now. Anywho, I did some exploring and found that what bigfish1 said makes since now. I saw where the fence is. But, people are just driving around it now. And I have to say, if it was my property, I would have fenced it off too and booby trapped any way around it. The trash and debris around the ramp is pathetic and the guilty parties certainly do not deserve to have access to it.

trash like that is what ruins it for the rest of us that do pick up after ourselves. When you have permission to hunt or fish private land you have to care of it but some people just dont get it ..

Default They are fishing it today!!!

I just came back from NLR and noticed about half a dozen trailer rigs by the ramp under the freeway. So, someone still has access and fishes here.
