    Default Bull Shoals

Any of you fish Bull Shoals much...

When I was a kid, my grandparents took me there every Spring for a crappie fishing trip -

We stayed at a place called Twin Pines (not there anymore - at least as that) - It was up the hill from Lead Hill Boat dock in Lead Hill...

If I remember correctly - we fished coves called Sugarloaf, 26 (just the 26 mile mark - a ways from the dock)...drawing a blank on the other names...

Thinking of heading that way this Spring, just wondering if any of you on the Arkansas board fish it...

I remember one year we just caught slab after slab - so many BIG crappie

not sure when yet - depends on my schedule...

would like to try some time in early April...

Was thinking of staying in Lead Hill and renting a boat a LH boat dock...just because I'm (at least hoping I still am) familiar with the area - just hope I can remember my way around the lake if I do it...

You can pick up a Hotmap of the lake at any local Walmart. PM me and I'll give you my cell. Maybe we can fish together, altho the spawn may be about over by then, but they should still be in the brush or nearby. Maybe some white bass and walleye around too. I have a boat. Tight lines.
