I went to my local coffee shop this morning and heard a nasty rumor. A guy was saying that no outboard motors over a 25HP on State and Federal lakes is coming back. Some years ago there used to be nothing over a 9.9HP,,, I think. Maybe some of you people have heard of this, I'm not going to believe it untill I actually see it in black and white.
Oh well, I came home and went to AG&F site to see if anything was on it about this. While I was looking around, I saw "Talkin Outdoors at the Corner Cafe". I've not seen this show after it was taken off AETN. There was a TV station in Little Rock that aired it, but our cable TV system is screwed up here, and couldn't get it. I did watch a couple of episodes with one being Crappie Fishing, and it had Darryl Morris from Family Fishing Trips. I looked around on the site and he mentioned this site. On the show he did say that he used to live in Paragould. Are there any other anglers here that live close to Paragould? I'm always looking for information on ways to Crappie fish as well as Catfish. Never learned how growing up, so I'm trying to make up for lost time.
Welcome to the Board Big J. I think you will find not only Darryl, but many here on the board have tons of info to help you out. The only tip I would have is to go eat a cheese burger for me at the hamburger station there in Paragould. It won't help your fishin but mmmmmmmmm good!
Welcome to the board Big Jerry. The wife and kids still live in the Gould and I get back there every once in a while when I have to. Hang out here long enough and you'll make some of the best friends you've every had in your life. The only thing we ask is be helpful when you can and pass it on. This is a great site. If you ain't stuck on crappie yet you will be, lol.

Welcome Big Jerry. Im from southern illinois but the arkansas board is my favorite thread to read. Alot of very helpful and genuine people here as you can see. I plan a trip every year to arkansas and these guys always lead me in the right direction. The 2 crappie im holding in my little picture you see next to my name are both 15" long caught from Lake Greeson last year and probably caught on Darlys rosie reds that he gave us for free when we ran out of minnows and had no more bait. I could mention a dozen others here who always go out of their way to help.
