Just want to wish all of you here a happy new and blessed year. I look forward to meeting more of you this year and hopefully wetting a hook with you.

Happy New Year to all. We were passing through Gassville on the way to the hospital when the ball dropped last night. My daughter thought she was going to have a New Year baby, but it turned out to be a false alarm. Didn't get home till 0400. Good news is its going to be a boy (any day now), that will give me 3 grandsons and 2 grandaughters.
If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!

Wishin' everyone a year full of big slabs and tight lines. Should be an easy resolution to follow through with.

I spent the first day of the year battling the cold temps and wind on Morgan Point. Didn't do much with the gale force winds, but did manage a 2lb crappie and a truckfull of gasper goo and yeller bass. At least I got to try out my new fishin' gear, but too bad I had to break it in on those dang drum...

Hey Don. On the Little Maumelle Saturday morning I froze. Caught a 5+ pound drum. That's about as good as it got. Went Sunday to Gold Creek allong with 20 other boats. Nobody was catching anything but the little yellow bass. The fish were in the cove, heavy with shad, but they weren't biting. Fran and I are fishing with Darryl this weekend.

Ceb , those gasper goos are fun to catch. Ever tried ''Poor Boy's Shrimp Cocktail''? Fillet those dudes and cut into shrimp sized pieces. Boil in Shrimp and Crab Boil just like Shrimp. Dip in Cocktail Sauce and it ain't half bad. A lady from the lower White River Area showed us this.
