That's a good one, I bet he did put up a fight.
If a trash fish jumps on my line, thats the 1 i want it to be. Good lookin smallie, if you like to catch them come up here the creeks and rivers are loaded with them, and they make for a very enjoyable afternoon!

How many times did he go "airborne"? I don't know that I have caught many much bigger and I used to creek fish for em a bunch. The kid and I were set up on the Alum Fork of the Saline river this week deer hunting and watched two huge smallies in an eddy right by where we were set up. They looked like 4 pound fish to me. I bet that one goes close to 3
Gooch believe it or not he did not jump one time. I was fishing a deep hole in the river and he bit right off the bottom. Jig pole bent like I was hung. Thought it was a good cat but was glad to see brown when it got close to the surface. I did not have my scale with me but I guessed it at 3 lbs also.
Good lookin' toad, Slick. I'm kinda surprised to see all of your lines still in the water after hookin' into her. I figured she would've been making laps around that spider-rig...:D
