    that's why those long poles work so well, you can jig straight down from them and not be too close to brush. plus you can swing them right to you. it's my main go to method.

    I would like to thank everyone for contributing to my question about vertical fishing . It is great that people are willing to contribute . I hope that as I gain experience I can contribute also . Thanks again .... by the way .... Did they name Lake Nimrod after Nimrod ?

    My home lake is the first flood control lake in Arkansas completed in 1942. Thought since I fish there and live close by that would be a good handle .
