It's amazing how quickly things can change. I have had a very productive Winter Fish. I was looking forward to Spring. We are just going to have to adapt and overcome in the next week's. Maumelle sure needed the water.

No doubt some area will benefit from the waters...

Get ready for another epic crappie spawn on Nimrod. Just what the lake needs, right?

Lake Conway is at 265.1 feet. This is 3.1’ above winter pool and 2.1’ above normal pool. With more rain falling now and more to come, it will likely rise higher. It sure seems like these heavy rain events have been more frequent the last decade.

I was in Camden today, well in the Highland Industrial Park anyway. I came in via Fordyce, they said the road in from Camden was flooded this morning.

We we are currently at about 7 1/2 inches of rain since Wednesday here in Hot Springs Village.

Ouachita at Camden rose 8' in the last 24 hrs. We have a special little place we bass fish when the river is on a big rise. I saw three 5+ lb bass and seven or eight 3+ pounders hit the bank yesterday. I only managed a cypress trout about 2' long. It is only right for about 8 hrs. But when it is on it is on big time...
Come on in boys! The water is fine!

I saw on the news that the Saline river rose 20 feet in one day.

Here in the Village the spillways are full of clear blue water that is being washed out of the lakes by muddy inflow.

We have gotten 11 inches here at the house since Wednesday, I talked to some folks here in the Village who had gotten 12 and 16 inches.
